Cancelled appointment / Did not attend

If you want to cancel your appointment, it is important that you notify us as soon as possible, so another patient can use the time slot.

Repeated cancellations or non-attendance

When you cancel your appointment, the hospital cannot guarantee that you will receive healthcare within the deadline you have been given.

Repeated cancellations or repeated failure to attend the appointment may result in a professional assessment of your need for healthcare. You may then be removed from the waiting list.

Treatment deadlines

If you have been given a deadline for receiving healthcare and have not received treatment within this deadline, you have the right to be offered treatment at another healthcare provider.

In the event of a breach of the deadline, your hospital or treatment institution will contact Helfo Patient Referral Services. They will find an alternative treatment option with another provider if you wish.

Patient charges for non-attendance / cancellations

If you fail to attend an appointment or cancel it, you will be charged a fee in accordance with the applicable tariffs.
