BUP outpatient and inpatient services are located at Vinjesgate 10. The Centre for Infants and Young Children is located at Karmsundsgaten 51 (Meieriet), on the third floor.

General information

The pharmacy is located on the ground floor, in the corridor past the reception desk.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30.

 

It is not permitted to take photos or videos of other patients or hospital staff. Photos or videos must not be shared on social media without the consent of those shown. 

We ask that you respect the privacy of everyone you encounter during your stay at the hospital, and that you only take photos or videos of your own family and friends.

Please bring any regular medication you take. It may take some time to obtain the same medication from the pharmacy.

Please leave valuables at home. Theft can occur in hospitals.

Bring comfortable clothing and suitable, sturdy footwear. Walking barefoot is not permitted due to hygienic reasons.

Bring toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, deodorant and, if needed, an electric shaver. Also bring assistive devices you depend on, for example a walking stick, crutches, wheelchair etc.

Good hygiene is an important factor in ensuring patients receive good care. 

Please arrive early, as parking can be difficult. 

There is no available parking outside BUP in Vinjesgate. You can park at the multi-storey car park at Haugesund Hospital and pay by card, cash, or the EasyPark app.

The car park has two charging points for electric vehicles. There is also one disabled parking space by the main entrance you can use if you have a valid permit. 

 

The hospital grounds are smoke-free.

Inpatients who require nicotine products can contact the healthcare staff on their ward.
