
Hospital Hotel
The hospital hotel in Haugesund is available for non-admitted patients with long travel distances and for relatives of patients admitted to the intensive care unit.
Relatives of children, patients receiving outpatient treatment in a series, and patients with travel or transport difficulties may also stay at the hospital hotel.
The hospital hotel is located at the Revmatismesykehuset (Haugesund Sanitetsforenings Revmatismesykehus), directly opposite Haugesund Hospital.
There are five rooms on the 2nd floor. Two of these are double rooms. The hospital hotel is not staffed. Guest must be able to manage on their own during their stay.
Patients and relatives can contact the department where the patient is receiving treatment directly, or make a booking by email to forvaltning@helse-fonna.no.

Note: You must have documentation confirming your allocated hotel room and present it at check-in.
The hospital hotel is primarily intended for non-admitted patients, relatives, and temporary staff/agency workers.
A stay at the hospital hotel costs NOK 850 per night for a single room and NOK 1050 per night for a double room.
Breakfast is included in the price.
You check-in at the main reception at Haugesund Hospital. It is located next to the main entrance on the ground floor. Check-out is at the same location.
Check-in is available between 15:00 (3 pm) and 23:00 (11 pm), provided you have booked in advance. Drop-in bookings are not available.
Check-out must be completed by 10:00 (am) on the day of departure.
Payment for your stay is made using Vipps (app) at check-in. You will find a QR code for the app in the main reception. Payment in cash or by invoice can be arranged.
Guests at the hospital hotel can have breakfast at the cafeteria on the 6th floor (from 9:30 am), or in the patient cafeteria on the 3rd floor (8:00-9:30 am) at Haugesund Hospital.
Breakfast is included in the price of your stay. Show your access card at the checkout.
You will receive an access card when you check in at the main reception at Haugesund Hospital. You must return the card at check-out, at the same location.

Du får frikort for helsetenester når du har betalt over eit visst beløp i eigendeler. Når du viser frikort, slepp du å betale eigendelar for resten av kalenderåret.
The multi-storey car park north of the hospital is reserved for patients and visitors. You must pay a fee to park.
You can pay by cash or card at the parking machines, or by using the EasyPark app.
There is no number plate recognition at the car park. You must start and stop your parking session yourself using the EasyPark app.
Prices
The parking fee is NOK 25 per hour. The maximum daily rate is NOK 155.
Haugesund Parkering Drift AS is responsible for managing the car park and the parking areas in front of the main entrance. Any complaints regarding parking fees should be directed to them. Information is available on the parking machines.
Electric vehicle charging
There are three charging points available for electric vehicles.
Reserved parking
Reserved spaces for disabled parking are located outside the main entrance. Please remember to place the parking permit clearly visible in the windscreen.
There are reserved spaces for blood donors and dialysis patients in the multi-storey car park. These are marked with dedicated signs. If you are entitled to use these spaces, you will be issued with a parking permit by the department where you receive treatment.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria on the 6th floor is available to patients, visitors and staff.
Opening hours
Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 15:30. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.
The patient cafeteria on the 4th and 5th floor is only available for patients.
Many of the wards have their own dining rooms with simple self-service available for patients. Please contact your ward for information.
Kiosk
There is a Narvesen kiosk on the ground floor where you can buy food, sweets, magazines and other items.

Monday to Friday: 06:30 - 21:00.
Saturday: 09:00 - 20:00
Sunday: 10:00 - 20:00
Please bring any regular medication you take. It may take some time to obtain the same medication from the pharmacy.
Please leave valuables at home. Theft can occur in hospitals.
Bring comfortable clothing and suitable, sturdy footwear. Walking barefoot is not permitted due to hygienic reasons.
Bring toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, deodorant and, if needed, an electric shaver. Also bring assistive devices you depend on, for example a walking stick, crutches, wheelchair etc.
Good hygiene is an important factor in ensuring patients receive good care.
The hospital grounds are smoke-free.
Inpatients who require nicotine products can contact the healthcare staff on their ward.
Free wireless internet is available for patients, next of kin and visitors.
