Valen Hospital

We provide treatment for adults who require care for psychosis and forensic psychiatry.

For the municipalities of Sunnhordland and Hardanger, we offer services in acute psychiatry. Valen Hospital includes a section for specialised treatment and has four inpatient wards. The services also include an outpatient ambulatory forensic mental health team.

The Learning and Mastery centre for Psychiatry is located at Valen Hospital. It works in collaboration with service users and their organisations to provide courses and training aimed at helping people live with and manage their illness.
