Valen sjukehus

Valen sjukehus er eitt av fire sjukehus i Helse Fonna og ei av to sentralsjukehusavdelingar i Klinikk for psykisk helsevern og rus. Vi tilbyr spesialisert vurdering, diagnostisering, behandling og rehabilitering for vaksne over 18 år.

Blåblokkerande briller i behandlinga

Blåblokkerande briller (BB-briller) hindrar blått lys i å nå augo. Hjernen tolkar dette som at dagslyset er borte, og det skapar eit «virtuelt» mørke for hjernen. Dette kan vi bruke i behandling av mani og hypomani.

Praktisk informasjon

The cafeteria is open Monday to Thursday from 11:30 to 12:30. It is closed on Fridays.
 
Meals are served in the wards.

​Næraste daglegvare er 0,7 km frå sjukehuset: SPAR Valen, Eplehagen 3, 5451 Valen.

Parking for patients and visitors is centrally located on the hospital grounds. Parking is free of charge.

The car park has two electric vehicle charging points.

There is no pharmacy at the hospital. The nearest pharmacy is located in Husnes. SPAR Valen sells a limited range of over-the-counter medicines.

It is not permitted to take photos or videos of other patients or hospital staff. Photos or videos must not be shared on social media without the consent of those shown. 

We ask that you respect the privacy of everyone you encounter during your stay at the hospital, and that you only take photos or videos of your own family and friends.

The hospital grounds are smoke-free.

Inpatients who require nicotine products can contact the healthcare staff on their ward.

Please bring any regular medication you take. It may take some time to obtain the same medication from the pharmacy.

Please leave valuables at home. Theft can occur in hospitals.

Bring comfortable clothing and suitable, sturdy footwear. Walking barefoot is not permitted due to hygienic reasons.

Bring toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, deodorant and, if needed, an electric shaver. Also bring assistive devices you depend on, for example a walking stick, crutches, wheelchair etc.

Good hygiene is an important factor in ensuring patients receive good care.
