Allergivaksinasjon av vaksne

Allergivaksinasjon er aktuelt for deg som har uttalt allergi mot pollen, dyrehår, husstøvmidd, bie-, og/eller vepsegift. Allergivaksinasjon kan kurere eller redusere symptoma knytte til allergisk sjukdom.

Allergivaksinasjon blir også kalla hyposensibilisering eller spesifikk immunterapi. Behandlinga går ut på å tilføre allergenet (det du er allergisk mot) jamt og over 3–5 år.

Dei aller fleste som får denne behandlinga opplever at kroppen reagerer mindre på allergen og at allergisymptom frå hud, auge, nase og luftvegar minkar eller forsvinn.

Vaksinasjon blir gjord med injeksjon/sprøyte eller smeltetablettar i munnen. Dette avheng av kva slags allergen du skal vaksinerast mot.

Tilvising og vurdering

Du må ha hatt symptom på problematisk allergi over minst to år, og  må avleggje positiv allergitest (prikktest eller blodprøve) på aktuelle allergen. Fastlege eller avtalespesialist innanfor øyre–nase–hals kan tilvise deg til sjukehuset.

Før

Dersom du skal ha vaksine med injeksjon/sprøyte, kan du ikkje ha hatt  infeksjonssjukdom (forkjøling, influensa, bronkitt eller liknande) eller fått nokon annan vaksine dei tre siste dagane før allergivaksinasjonen.

Blir du sjuk eller forhindra frå å møte, må du kontakte oss og avtale ny tid til vaksinasjon.

Somme medisinar kan påverke behandlinga. Du må derfor gi oss beskjed dersom du bruker medisinar.

Du skal ikkje drikke alkohol 8 timar før og etter vaksinasjonen fordi det aukar risikoen for biverknadar.

Allergi mot bjørk, gras, katt og husstøvvmidd – injeksjonar

Ved behandling av bjørke–, gras–, katte– og husstøvmiddallergi kan dette gjerast i form av injeksjonar/sprøytar i armen. Du må møte på poliklinikken for kvar vaksinasjon. Det er vanleg at dette går føre seg som opptrapping med éin dose kvar veke i åtte veker. Deretter gradvis overgang til éin dose annankvar månad i tre år. Dei første gongene får du to–tre sprøyter med 30 minutts mellomrom. Du blir kontrollert etter kvar injeksjon. 30 minutt etter at siste injeksjon er gitt vil du vanlegvis kunne reise heim.

Allergi mot husstøvmidd, graspollen og bjørkepollen – smeltetablettar

Denne behandlinga har ei planlagd varigheit på 3 år. Du tek første tablett hos oss på poliklinikken. Du blir deretter observert i 30 minutt før du kan dra heim. Vanlege biverknader er kløe/svie/ubehag i munnen nokre minutt etter du har teke tabletten. Etter den første behandlinga kan du ta tablettane heime sjølv, med årleg kontroll hos lege.

Etter

Under heile behandlinga er det ein risiko for at vaksinasjonane kan utløyse allergisymptom, spesielt under den første delen med auke av dose. Derfor skal du alltid vere på avdelinga for observasjon i 30 minutt etter kvar vaksinasjon. Vi gjer eventuelt lungefunksjonstest (PEF) før og etter vaksinasjon.

Dei mest vanlege biverknadene er hevelse/kløe/ubehag på innstikkstaden ved sprøyter, og kløe/svie/ubehag i munnen ved smeltetablettar. Ved biverknader ut over kløe/ubehag på innstikkstaden bør dette behandlast med allergimedisin. Ta eventuelt kontakt med lege.

Du bør ikkje drive med anstrengjande fysisk aktivitet eller høg intensitet på vaksinasjonsdagen.

Du blir innkalla til årleg legetime for evaluering og oppfølging av behandlinga.

Ver merksam

Nokre timar og opp til eit par dagar etter at vaksinasjonen er sett, kan du få seinreaksjonar. Dette ser vi oftast som hevelse, raudheit og kløe på injeksjonsstaden. Dette er kjende reaksjonar som du må gi oss beskjed om ved neste besøk.

Det kan også oppstå generelle seinreaksjonar. Kløe i auge og nase, forverring av astma, elveblest, generell kjensle av å vere uvel. Dette er sjeldan, og du unngår vanlegvis slike reaksjonar ved måten behandlinga skjer på. Dersom du er i tvil om tilstanden din, ta kontakt med lege.

Haugesund: ØNH-avdelinga og høyrselsentralen held til i 1. etasje ved Haugesund sjukehus. Bruk hovudinngangen og gå forbi resepsjonen og sjukehusapoteket. Du finn oss i enden av korridoren.

Stord: Høyrselsentralen ligg i 1. etasje i den kvite bygningen ved sida av hovudbygget.

Odda: ØNH-poliklinikken ligg i 1. etasje på Odda sjukehus. Poliklinikken har eige venterom.

Ved tilpassing av høyreapparat, anbefaler vi at pasienten har med seg følge/pårørande.

Praktisk informasjon

Patients who require overnight accommodation can call our contact centre by phone on 52 73 90 00. Please notify us well in advance.

Hospital hostel

We can offer simply furnished rooms in our hostel, located about 50 metres from the hospital. The room has a direct telephone connection to the surgical monitoring station and also includes an extra bed if you are accompanied by a relative.

The hostel has shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. If you require an evening meal, this must be brought with you.

Keys can be collected from the reception desk, located next to the main entrance on the ground floor of the hospital. The reception is staffed from 07:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday. If you arrive after 18:00, please ring the doorbell and a member of our staff will assist you.

You will receive an invoice for your stay at the hostel.

You may contact Patient travel - Helsenorge for information about travels to and from public treatment facilities. 

Alternative accommodation in Odda

If you have been instructed to have blood tests taken, you can go to the laboratory on the lower ground floor (basement level) at Odda Hospital.

Some patients are prioritised for blood sampling, and we ask for your understanding.

Cafeteria

The cafeteria on the 6th floor is available to patients, visitors and staff.

Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 15:30. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.

The patient cafeteria on the 4th and 5th floor is only available for patients.

Many of the wards have their own dining rooms with simple self-service available for patients. Please contact your ward for information.

Kiosk

There is a Narvesen kiosk on the ground floor where you can buy food, sweets, magazines and other items.

You can change your appointment up to 48 hours before your scheduled visit. This can be done through helsenorge.no or by contacting us by phone on 52 73 90 00. Our contact centre is open from 07:30 to 15:30. 

On helsenorge.no, you will find information about your appointment in your appointment letter.

Please check in at the reception desk at the main entrance when you arrive. You can pay at the counter or by using Vipps.

The nearest grocery store is Spar Ådland, Olvikvegen 52, 5416 Stord. It is 1.5 kilometers by car, or a 500 meter walk via the pedestrian path behind the ambulance station.

The nearest grocery store is Bunnpris, located 700 metres from the hospital. The address is Hjøllo 1, 5750 Odda.

The multi-storey car park north of the hospital is reserved for patients and visitors. You must pay a fee to park. 

You can pay by cash or card at the parking machines, or by using the EasyPark app.

There is no number plate recognition at the car park. You must start and stop your parking session yourself using the EasyPark app. 

Prices

The parking fee is NOK 25 per hour. The maximum daily rate is NOK 155.

Haugesund Parkering Drift AS is responsible for managing the car park and the parking areas in front of the main entrance. Any complaints regarding parking fees should be directed to them. Information is available on the parking machines.

There are three charging points available for electric vehicles. 

Reserved parking

Reserved spaces for disabled parking are located outside the main entrance. Please remember to place the parking permit clearly visible in the windscreen. 

There are reserved spaces for blood donors and dialysis patients in the multi-storey car park. These are marked with dedicated signs. If you are entitled to use these spaces, you will be issued with a parking permit by the department where you receive treatment.

There is no public pharmacy at the hospital, but there are several pharmacies in and around Leirvik town centre.

It is not permitted to take photos or videos of other patients or hospital staff. Photos or videos must not be shared on social media without the consent of those shown. 

We ask that you respect the privacy of everyone you encounter during your stay at the hospital, and that you only take photos or videos of your own family and friends.

The hospital grounds are smoke-free.

Inpatients who require nicotine products can contact the healthcare staff on their ward.

Please bring any regular medication you take. It may take some time to obtain the same medication from the pharmacy.

Please leave valuables at home. Theft can occur in hospitals.

Bring comfortable clothing and suitable, sturdy footwear. Walking barefoot is not permitted due to hygienic reasons.

Bring toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, deodorant and, if needed, an electric shaver. Also bring assistive devices you depend on, for example a walking stick, crutches, wheelchair etc.

Good hygiene is an important factor in ensuring patients receive good care. 

Free wireless internet is available for patients, next of kin and visitors.
