Det er låg terskel for å ta kontakt med prestetenesta i Helse Fonna. Vi tilbyr samtalar for pasientar, pårørande og tilsette – for deg som treng nokon å snakke med om tankar, kjensler og opplevingar. Hos oss kan du dele det som er viktig for deg, i ein trygg samtale med teieplikt – utan journalføring.

Vi tilbyr undervisning til tilsette i eksistensielle tema. Sjukehuspresten blir nytta på fagdagar, i internundervisning og i refleksjonsgrupper. 

Prestetenesta er ein ressurs og samarbeidspartnar for fagmiljø ved sjukehuset i spørsmål om åndeleg og eksistensiell omsorg, etikk og andre fagområde. Sjukehuspresten deltek i klinisk etikk-komité og i tverrfaglege behandlingsmøte.  

Vi tilbyr samtalar med pasientar for å støtte dei i livssituasjonen deira, og gir støtte til pårørande.  

Eit sjukehusopphald kan skape behov for samtale og nærvær. Vi gir støtte til pasientar og pårørande, og legg til rette for refleksjon og deling av opplevingar som kan vere vanskeleg å bere åleine. Du avgjer sjølv kva samtalen skal handle om.

Vi har ei sorggruppe for foreldre som har mista barn i mors liv og kort tid etter fødselen. Gruppa heiter Englebarna Haugalandet.

Vi gir støtte og krisehjelp ved ulykker og plutselege dødsfall, og kan vere bindeledd til støtteapparat og institusjonar utanfor sjukehuset. 

Pasientar med anna tru eller livssyn enn Den norske kyrkja skal få kontakt med sitt trus- eller livssamfunn når dei ønskjer det. Vi hjelper med å formidle kontakt. 

Tilgjengelegheit og beredskap 

Vi har base på Haugesund sjukehus, men dekkjer alle lokasjonar i Helse Fonna – innan både fysiske og psykiske helsetenester.  DPS-ane får også jamleg besøk av oss.  

Sjukehusprestane har døgnvakt, og du kan få kontakt med oss gjennom avdelinga eller resepsjonen. 

Sjukehuspresten blir tilkalla for å støtte pårørande ved mindre og større ulykker, og alvorleg sjukdom. På fødeavdelinga er presten med når sorga rammar. Ved debriefing etter dramatiske hendingar er sjukehuspresten ein av støttespelarane. 

 

Om prestetenesta

Sjelesorg er hovudoppgåva til sjukehuspresten. Dette er samtalar av åndeleg og/eller eksistensiell karakter, der ein møter menneske med omsorg i den situasjonen dei står i.   

Gjennom teologisk utdanning, klinisk praksis og vidareutdanning i pastoral klinisk utdanning (PKU) har sjukehusprestane kompetanse og erfaring i sjelesorg.  

Tal frå Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB) viser at eit stort fleirtal i Noreg høyrer til eit trus- og livssynssamfunn. Sjølv om kristne er i fleirtal, finst det eit mangfald. Ved behov kan prestetenesta formidle kontakt med andre trus- og livssynssamfunn, mellom anna via Samarbeidsrådet for tros- og livssynssamfunn (STL). 

Helsedirektoratet peikar på at åndelege og eksistensielle behov ofte blir aktualiserte ved alvorleg sjukdom. Kompetanse på dette området er viktig for å kunne gi heilskapleg omsorg. Spiritual care er ei internasjonal nemning for dette fagfeltet.  

Kjerneoppgåver 

  • Tilgjengelegheit: Mange samtalar skjer etter tilkalling, men også gjennom at prestane er til stades på avdelingar. Slik kan fleire få høve til den uplanlagde samtalen med nokon som har tid til å lytte. 
  • Kyrkjelege handlingar: Prestane tilbyr symbolhandlingar som lystenning, nattverd, dåp, vigsel, gravferd, forbøn og bibelord. For mange er dette viktige uttrykk for trøyst, håp og meistring.   
  • Undervisning og rettleiing: Sjukehusprestane held undervisning og leier refleksjonsgrupper for pasientar, pårørande og personale.

Praktisk informasjon

Patients who require overnight accommodation can call our contact centre by phone on 52 73 90 00. Please notify us well in advance.

Hospital hostel

We can offer simply furnished rooms in our hostel, located about 50 metres from the hospital. The room has a direct telephone connection to the surgical monitoring station and also includes an extra bed if you are accompanied by a relative.

The hostel has shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. If you require an evening meal, this must be brought with you.

Keys can be collected from the reception desk, located next to the main entrance on the ground floor of the hospital. The reception is staffed from 07:30 to 18:00, Monday to Friday. If you arrive after 18:00, please ring the doorbell and a member of our staff will assist you.

You will receive an invoice for your stay at the hostel.

You may contact Patient travel - Helsenorge for information about travels to and from public treatment facilities. 

Alternative accommodation in Odda

If you have been instructed to have blood tests taken, you can go to the laboratory on the lower ground floor (basement level) at Odda Hospital.

Some patients are prioritised for blood sampling, and we ask for your understanding.

The cafeteria on the 6th floor is available to patients, visitors and staff.

Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 15:30. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.

The patient cafeteria on the 4th and 5th floor is only available for patients.

Many of the wards have their own dining rooms with simple self-service available for patients. Please contact your ward for information.

Kiosk

There is a Narvesen kiosk on the ground floor where you can buy food, sweets, magazines and other items.

You can change your appointment up to 48 hours before your scheduled visit. This can be done through helsenorge.no or by contacting us by phone on 52 73 90 00. Our contact centre is open from 07:30 to 15:30.

Please check in at the reception desk at the main entrance when you arrive. You can pay at the counter or by using Vipps.

​Næraste daglegvare er 0,7 km frå sjukehuset: SPAR Valen, Eplehagen 3, 5451 Valen.

The nearest grocery store is Spar Ådland, Olvikvegen 52, 5416 Stord. It is 1.5 kilometers by car, or a 500 meter walk via the pedestrian path behind the ambulance station.

The nearest grocery store is Bunnpris, located 700 metres from the hospital. The address is Hjøllo 1, 5750 Odda.

The multi-storey car park north of the hospital is reserved for patients and visitors. You must pay a fee to park. 

You can pay by cash or card at the parking machines, or by using the EasyPark app.

There is no number plate recognition at the car park. You must start and stop your parking session yourself using the EasyPark app. 

Prices

The parking fee is NOK 25 per hour. The maximum daily rate is NOK 155.

Haugesund Parkering Drift AS is responsible for managing the car park and the parking areas in front of the main entrance. Any complaints regarding parking fees should be directed to them. Information is available on the parking machines.

Electric vehicle charging

There are three charging points available for electric vehicles. 

Reserved parking

Reserved spaces for disabled parking are located outside the main entrance. Please remember to place the parking permit clearly visible in the windscreen. 

There are reserved spaces for blood donors and dialysis patients in the multi-storey car park. These are marked with dedicated signs. If you are entitled to use these spaces, you will be issued with a parking permit by the department where you receive treatment.

  • The car park uses automatic number plate recognition. You will receive an invoice from ParkPay after exiting.

Dialysis patients

Dialysis patients have free parking. Please inform dialysis staff on arrival to be registered.

Parking for patients and visitors is centrally located on the hospital grounds. Parking is free of charge.

The car park has two electric vehicle charging points.

There is no public pharmacy at the hospital, but there are several pharmacies in and around Leirvik town centre.

The pharmacy is located on the ground floor, in the corridor past the reception desk.

Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30.

 

There is no pharmacy at the hospital. The nearest pharmacy is located in Husnes. SPAR Valen sells a limited range of over-the-counter medicines.

It is not permitted to take photos or videos of other patients or hospital staff. Photos or videos must not be shared on social media without the consent of those shown. 

We ask that you respect the privacy of everyone you encounter during your stay at the hospital, and that you only take photos or videos of your own family and friends.

The hospital grounds are smoke-free.

Inpatients who require nicotine products can contact the healthcare staff on their ward.

Please bring any regular medication you take. It may take some time to obtain the same medication from the pharmacy.

Please leave valuables at home. Theft can occur in hospitals.

Bring comfortable clothing and suitable, sturdy footwear. Walking barefoot is not permitted due to hygienic reasons.

Bring toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, deodorant and, if needed, an electric shaver. Also bring assistive devices you depend on, for example a walking stick, crutches, wheelchair etc.

Good hygiene is an important factor in ensuring patients receive good care. 

Free wireless internet is available for patients, next of kin and visitors.
